History

Language creator, David J. Peterson, created Trigedasleng for CW's The 100. Trigedasleng evolved after a nuclear war sent the majority of humanity into space. The "Sky People" returned to Earth 100 years after the nuclear fallout.

Over the 100 years, English evolved with the people left on the ground. Series creator Jason Rothenberg previously described the language as a form of Creole English.

All of the words from Trigedasleng are from standard American English.
Only warriors in each clan speak Trigedasleng and Standard American English.
