New Media Design Syllabus
New Media Design is the foundation for web design and user experience. It is a comprehensive course. As mentioned above, we learned the traditional principles of:
- Photography
- Typography
- Color Theory
- Composition
We also learned emerging media design principles and tools such as:
- Adobe XD
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
- User Experience and User Interface
Through Adobe XD, I learned to build prototypes of web and mobile platforms. We drew wireframes and created high-fidelity prototypes —while consistently working with partners.
We completed weekly design journals in which I became in expert in Adobe Illustrator.
Within the Photography lessons, we learned photography composition and editing through Adobe Photoshop.
